God Is Bigger Than Your Mind Can Handle
Let’s be honest—our human minds are small. We can barely understand the ocean, let alone the entire universe. And yet, many people speak about God as if He should fit inside our brains, our opinions, or our theories.
But here’s the truth: God can never be fully known or explained by human logic. He’s not just bigger than the universe—He’s bigger than imagination itself.
Isaiah chapter 55 verses 8 to 9 says it plainly:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
That’s a gentle way of saying: You can’t figure God out.
We’re talking about a Being who existed before time, created matter with a word, and knows every thought before it’s even formed in your mind. Try wrapping your brain around that. You can’t. And that’s the point.
The moment you think you’ve “figured God out,” you’re probably no longer talking about the real God. Because the real God doesn’t fit in a box. He’s not a concept. He’s not a feeling. He’s not an equation. He’s holy, infinite, eternal, and unsearchable.
Romans chapter 11 verse 33 says:
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!”
This is a worship. The mystery of God isn’t a problem to solve. It’s a reason to bow in awe.
Yes, God reveals things about Himself through Scripture. Yes, we can know about Him, and we can know Him personally through Christ. But even then, what we know is only a drop compared to the vast ocean of who He is.
And that’s why worship is the only right response. Not debate. Not overthinking. Just worship.
Because a God you can fully understand isn’t worthy of worship.
But a God who leaves you speechless? That’s the One worth following.
